Ensure the continued existence of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe based on the intent and spirit of past generations in determining the membership of the Tribe for future generations.

Review and make recommendations for all membership applications in accordance with the provisions set forth in the approved enrollment ordinances of the Tribe.

Provide guidance to the Enrollment Office in all aspects of tribal membership and ensure that accurate information is contained on the Tribal Membership Roll for every enrolled member of the Tribe.

The Enrollment Committee is a standing committee consisting of five members who meet the third Tuesday of the month. All recommendations of the Enrollment Committee are presented to the Tribal Council at the first Tribal Council Meeting of the following month. The enrollment process is generally a two-month process.


 

Tribal Enrollment Services processes Tribal membership applications, disenrollments and relinquishment requests for presentation to the Enrollment Committee and ultimately the Tribal Council. Tribal Enrollment Services also assists BIA, various agencies and individuals or other tribes with research, certifications and verifications.

An important function of Tribal Enrollment Services is maintaining the Tribal membership roll and related records in addition to providing statistical data for use by various Tribal programs. Some of the Tribal Membership services include: Certification of Indian Blood, BIA Indian Preference Form 4432 Certificates of Enrollment.

Enrollment Applications
The following documents are required:

  • Original Application and Family Tree
  • Original Birth Certificate-returned by Certified Mail
  • Social Security Card (or copy)
  • Affidavit of Paternity (use proof of paternity link below)

    ECONOMIC STIMULUS PAYMENT INFORMATION FOR MINORS

    Requirements-Minor Tribal Members who were included on the final payment roll as approved by Tribal Council Resolution PL 34-28 on April 6, 2018.

    You can expect the distribution process to start within one month after the end of the calendar quarter (March 31, June 30, September 30, or December 31) where you turned 18; but only if you return your completed and signed distribution forms and a copy of your photo ID to the Tribal Enrollment Office during this quarter. If you chose a direct deposit, then banking information from your banking institution is required.

    If your forms are not returned until after the quarter ends, then your distribution will not occur until the next quarter ends. Minors who have an account in the Minors Trust but are not able to return their forms timely will have up to six years to complete their forms and claim their economic stimulus payment. The six years count starts on your 18th birthday.

    This form is only for use by eligible Tribal members who reach the age of 18 and wish to request the Economic Stimulus Payment from the Minor's Trust fund.

    Distribution Form (Minors) This form is only for use by eligible tribal members who reach the age of 18, and who wish to request the Economic Stimulus Payment from the Minor's Trust Fund.

    Yearly statements are mailed for those minors under the age of 18. Parents and guardians are asked to keep their addresses updated.

    2020 REAL ID COMPLIANT FOR AIR TRAVEL

    Federally Recongnized Tribal Issued Photo ID Cards are acceptable identification for air travel -this includes the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe 18 and over ID Card with Expiration Date. Photo ID's are available for those under the age of 18.
