Tribal Council Approves T1 The Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Council approved acquiring a T1 for Internet Service. We have contracted with Sprint, which is one of the Tier 1 Internet backbone providers. This decision is indicative of the committment which the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe is making towards bringing technology to Pyramid Lake. For those who don't know, a T1 is a circuit that provides business class Internet service. This will allow us to run our own network servers, and bring high-speed broadband to the many aspects of tribal administration. With this capability, we plan on expanding in the future to homes and businesses across the reservation. |
