Wireless network begins Phase 4 We have begun installing the network administration system in Nixon. This will house the Tribe's servers and support network security across the reservation. The key element will be to provide the routing of traffic to the Internet through our T1. VPN services will also be integrated. With this network in place, we will then need to complete the connections to the various offices and computers. We plan on using a hybrid of wired and wireless connections. We are in the early stages of planning for a breakout with home and business internet, email, and website services for those who live and work on the Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation. More is planned, so check back in a couple months for more news. |
